Allen L. Shembarger, age 73 of Berrien Center, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his "happy place", his deer camp in Astoria, Illinois on Friday, November 10, 2023. He was born on August 30, 1950 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the son of Maurice F. and Elfrieda E. (Richter) Shembarger. He married Teresa J. Hinderliter on September 1, 2007 in St. Joseph, Michigan. She survives.
Also surviving are four step-children, Chris Hinderliter, who Allen always called his son, of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Brittany Hinderliter of Pleasant Plains, Illinois, Chuck Hinderliter of Virginia, Illinois and Beth (and Gibbs) Glisson of New Berlin, Illinois, 4 step-grandchildren, his brother Richard (and Vicki) Shembarger of Berrien Springs, Michigan, two sisters-in-law, Betty Shembarger and Joan Shembarger, both of Berrien Center, Michigan, father-in-law Charles Trone of Rushville, Illinois, two brothers-in-law, Bill (and Jill) Trone of Beardstown, Illinois and Kevin Trone of Astoria, Illinois and a numbe
