Leslie Duane Threw, 81, of Elmwood, passed away at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born on January 25, 1944 in Canton, a son of Albert and Mary (Westbay) Threw. He married Patricia Jacobs in 1966. She survives.
Also, surviving are his children, Brian Threw of Elmwood; Marcy (Blake) York of Frisco, Texas; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Chris), Spencer (Erinn), Sydney, and Bridget; four great-grandchildren, Blakely, Harper, Cooper, Sadie; sister Linda (late Keith) Menz of Washington, and several nieces and nephews. He loved his family.
Preceding Duane in death were his parents.
Duane worked and retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after 42 years of service, where he had many great memories of those years. He enjoyed planting a garden of vegetables, and fruits for many years, and working in the yard was his hobby.
