Robert J. Gorsage, 63, of Lewistown, passed away at 3:57 AM on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at OSF St. Francis in Galesburg, IL. He was born on June 5, 1961 in Peoria, IL, to Donald and Juanita (Hanks) Gorsage.
He is survived by two children, Kelly Merrell and Josh West; five grandchildren; two brothers, Terry (Liz) Coleman and Donald (Michelle) Gorsage Jr.; one sister, Patti (Aaron) Oest; five nieces, favorite niece/caregiver, Caitlin (Detrik) Thrasher, Melissa (Justin) Willimas, Sarah (Lawrence) Clark, and Emily (Tim) Branson; three nephews, Justin Gorsage, Michael Pascal, and Ryan Coleman; and several great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and step-mom, Lois Gorsage; and two brothers, Lawrence Saylor and Joseph Coleman.
Robert worked for several agriculture businesses. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and mushrooming. He loved to visit with the old timers.
