Farmington, IL - Lee Dale Viehweg, 92, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Courtyard Estates in Farmington. He was born February 21, 1932, in Litchfield, IL, the son of Arthur and Amelia (Tokarz) Viehweg. He married Patricia Suhling on November 24, 1956, in Mt. Olive, IL and shared 62 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on April 3, 2018.
Surviving are his five children, Lynn (Martin) Anderson of Madeira Beach, FL, Mark (Lisa) Viehweg of Sioux Falls, SD, Lori (Michael) Lally of Lakewood Ranch, FL, David (Barb) Viehweg of Mankato, MN, and Dennis (Stacie) Viehweg of Wayne, IL. Lee was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Lee was a Korean War Veteran and served in the US Army. He was stationed in Okinawa, and proudly played for the US Army Base All-Star Football Team. For two years prior to entering the military, Lee was starter on Eastern Illinois football team.
